All three phases of Cell Max possess the Stun Immunity (気絶無効) ability that grants him immunity to being stunned, the Disable Super Attack Sealing (必殺技封じ無効) ability that prevents his Super Attacks from being sealed, and the Disable ATK & DEF Reduction (ATK&DEF低下無効) ability that prevents his Attack and Defense stats being reduced.
In addition to the above abilities, Cell Max possesses the Evasion (回避) ability during Phase 1 that gives him a 5% chance of dodging attacks from the player's cards, including their Super Attacks; he has a 40% chance of attacking all enemies with his Super Attacks during Phase 2; and he possesses the Coercion (威圧) ability in Phase 3 that has a chance of temporarily preventing characters from having their position switched.
