Mecha Knuckles is a robotic copy of Knuckles the Echidna that appears as a boss in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Mecha Knuckles appears as the fifth boss of Sonic Advance, fought at the end of Angel Island Zone Act 2. Mecha Knuckles begins the fight in his disguised form, and attacks similarly to Knuckles in his Sonic & Knuckles fight. He will use one of three attacks - jumping into the air and gliding over the player, Spin Dashing, or throwing a punch at close range. He can also repel Spin Dashes by crouching.
After Mecha Knuckles is hit four times, his true form will be revealed. During the second phase of the fight he uses the same moves, but attacks more frequently. He can additionally fire large missiles from his mouth that home on the player. After another four hits, Mecha Knuckles explodes, the watching Dr. Eggman retreats and after a short delay the Capsule drops.
