Metal Cooler Core

Metal Cooler Core[1] (メタルクウラ・コア) is the fusion of Cooler with the Big Gete Star that appears as a character in the Dragon Ball Series.

Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi[]

Meta-Cooler Core appears in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, where he is a boss in the game's story mode. He is fought in the Big Gete Star, as a recreation of his fight in "Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler".

During the first phase of the battle he stands in front of Goku and alternates between two attacks; firing a burst of five red Ki Blasts that home towards Goku, and firing a Destroy Laser from his face that is swept vertically towards Goku.

After taking enough damage, the player enters a Quick-Time Event. Meta-Cooler Core fires a large red laser from his organic eye, that is dodged if the buttons are correctly input. Cooler then fires four red Ki Blasts from his robotic eye, which are also dodged if the buttons are pressed in time. He then blocks an attack from Goku, and sends out wires through the smoke that wrap around Goku and start draining his energy. Goku starts powering up to overload Meta-Cooler Core, and succeeds at damaging Cooler's body if successful. Goku loses his Super Saiyan form, but continues fighting Cooler in his base state.

The second phase of the battle then begins, which takes place in the air. Goku flies around Cooler's torso, while he uses one of two attacks; punching his hand into the ground and sending wires up targeting Goku's position, and firing a Destroy Laser straight ahead.

After Cooler's health is further depleted, the player enters the second and final QTE. Goku transforms back into a Super Saiyan, and starts charging the Ki Burst Sphere to finish off Cooler. Cooler punches Goku, and starts trying to crush him with wires wrapped around his body. If the player successfully mashes the right button, Goku breaks free and flies towards Cooler with the sphere. Cooler tries one final attack, throwing another punch at Goku. If the player inputs the right buttons in time, Goku throws the Ki Burst Sphere into Cooler's chest, engulfing him in a massive explosion that kills him.

Dragon Ball Heroes[]

Metal Cooler Core appears in Dragon Ball Heroes, where he was added in Jaaku Mission 2 as a transformation for Metal Cooler and a boss in the Big Gete Star Saga. The Ultranova S ability used by Metal Cooler's HJ3-CP6 card summons Metal Cooler Core from subspace to use his Ultranova attack on the enemy, destroying 2 of their Hero Energy and dealing extra damage if the enemy team has at least 6 Hero Energy. Metal Cooler Core became a playable stand-alone character in SDBH Mission 7.
